Mi A1 from Google and Xiaomi

Android One was Google’s noble vision to put smartphones in the hands of as many people as possible. The concept was an affordable, pure android experience with priority updates. Google partnered with local and international manufacturers for Android One, but down the line, it failed to meet the expectations. In India, Android One phones were manufactured by Karbonn, Micromax and Spice.

Now, Google has partnered with Xiaomi to bring Mi A1. The phone is not cheap compared to its predecessors and will cost Rs. 14,999. The features of Mi A1 is quite impressive:

  • Duel Camera with 2x optical zoom
  • Full metal unibody with 5.5″ Full HD display
  • Snapdragon 625 supporting 4GB RAM+64GB ROM
  • microSD support for extra storage

The body is just 7.5mm thin with 2.5D curved edge to edge display. Mi A1 comes with 2 year update support from Google, which guarantees that it will be one of the first devices to receive Android P next year. You can upload unlimited high-quality photos on Google Photos and take advantage of embedded Google Assistant. The phone is running on stock Android 7.1.2 which is definitely going to please a lot of Android lovers.

The phone will be available in black, rose gold and gold.

There is no doubt that, it is the best Android One phone yet and also one of the best in this price segment. The phone will be available from 12th September and can be bought online from Flipkart, Mi.com and offline stores such as Croma, e-Zone and others.
